the neighbors dog would not stop barking
i pulled my cloud of covers over my head
wishing the dog would just disappear
it didn't
the monotonous barking would never stop
i stretched
rolled off the bed onto the floor
and lay there
the floor could be comfy
when you're exhausted
the barking drifted in the distance
eyes shut tight
the world melts on the floor around me
